Luka gets a Design by Committee cover!

Super excited about LUKA’s new cover. Very lucky to have Josh Durham from Design by Committee onboard. He is an award winning book cover designer who produced one of my all time favourite covers back in 2010, HOW IT FEELS, by Brendan Cowell. A love story set in the place I grew up - Sutherland Shire. The way the words are written with a sparkler, over the top of a kiss genius!

The only brief I gave Josh was that I wanted a pelican included, the rest of it I left up to him. He read the book, loved it - thank goodness, and a month later came back to me with a cover that had captured LUKA’s essence beautifully. It was so good that I had to get up from my desk and pace my office with a few fist pumps and a very loud yes! before I could sit back down again. It wasn’t only beautiful but clever. I would love to hear your thoughts on the cover. What you think it symbolises.
